Antique Foot Binding Shoes

Pair of colorful three inch silk embroidered Chinese Binding “lotus bud” shoes. Abundantly decorated with hand sewn multiple floral designs of flowers and birds. The custom of breaking and binding the feet into the shape of a pointed "lotus" bud began a thousand years ago in China.
